Don’t send me flowers when I’m dead. If you like me, send them while I’m alive.-Brian Clough
I don’t believe in scaring people to action. It’s a tactic that has been used too much and contributes to compassion fatigue. But Brian Clough, whoever he is, has a point. All the nice things that are said about the dead: why not say them while they are still alive?
Also you don’t have to go as far as death: sometimes loved ones unexpectedly leave the continent or friendships come to an end. Let’s appreciate each other while we can.
